ITV This Morning viewers amazed by hack that can get stains out of school uniforms

Viewers of This Morning on Thursday were left amazed when 'Queen of Clean' Lynsey Crombie revealed a cleaning hack that can get stains out of school uniforms.

When a pen bursts or leaks in a pocket, it can seem like a lost cause trying to remove the colour from clothing.

Parents and carers will be well aware of the pain of washing clothes multiple times only for the stains to remain.

Luckily, Crombie revealed a trick that can get rid of the ink — and all that's required is milk.

Speaking on the show, she said: "I have tested this. I wouldn't bring the tip on if it didn't work.

"You just need to dip it in the [glass of] milk. Leave it overnight if you can. I don't know the science behind it, but milk is made up of about 80 per cent water and 20 per cent fats. The fats break the ink down."

One amazed viewer rushed to share the information in the Cleaning tips and tricks Facebook group, writing: "Just seen this on this morning. To remove pen from school uniform use full fat milk. Leave to soak in it for 2 hours then wash as normal."

Members of the group were quick to share their thoughts on the hack, and before long it had attracted almost 300 comments.

One said: "It does work I been doing this for years! Highly recommend. No one ever believed me either lol so glad that have shown it on This Morning".

A second commented: "I’ve needed this info! Thank you for sharing".

"Loved seeing this on This Morning some great tips on there," a third wrote.

"Milk also removes hair colour from clothing, just soak the area in milk leave it for a while and then wash"
