ITV This Morning studio chaos as guest's dog ruins Ainsley Harriott's cooking segment

This Morning's studio erupted in chaos today as a guest clairvoyant failed to predict that her dog would 'do a runner' with Ainsley Harriott's chicken.

Beth Lee-Crowther was joined by her four-legged friend Missy as she explained to hosts Josie Gibson and Vernon Kay that she could talk to animals. That was when Josie asked the psychic what the pup was thinking as she had “done a runner”.

Vernon tried his best not to laugh as he said: “I’ll be honest with you, I’ll tell you what Missy’s thinking. Missy has dived into Ainsley’s chicken.” The camera showed Missy sniffing out the food in the kitchen area of the ITV studio, which was prepared for chef Ainsley Harriet’s cooking segment later in the programme.

Studio staff were seen rearranging kitchenware as the dog raided the cupboards. Missy’s owner Beth sat back and watched as she said the dog is “very greedy”.

The dog found a meaty treat as she sniffed out the chicken. Vernon said: “She’s not weed. Has she had the chicken? They’re frantically cleaning up.”

He added: “That’s absolutely brilliant. Just make sure Ainsley makes another casserole please, because I don’t want that one. She’s absolutely loving it. Having a whale of a time.”

Missy soon sprinted back to her owner, joining her once more on the sofa. Beth explained that Missy is always on the hunt for food after she was adopted off the street.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and the ITV Hub
