ITV This Morning's Ruth Langsford stunned by mum who married 300-year-old ghost that tried to kill her

A woman who married a ghost has revealed she is getting a divorce after he tried to kill her.

Amanda Teague married the ghost of 300-year-old pirate in 2018 in a ceremony conducted by a priest in international waters.

But now the mum from Northern Ireland has revealed their relationship is over.

Speaking on This Morning , Ruth Langsford was shocked when Amanda said her hubbie Jack tried to kill her.

Ruth and Eamonn interviewed Amanda on This Morning (ITV)

She said: "I had started on the road of spirituality in 2010 after my son died. I really wanted to know what was out there and it gave me a link to the other side.

"I've never heard Jack or seen him in a physical spirit and it was only five years after I started doing the mediumship that he presented himself - we just started to talk a lot.

"I've always really struggled with my sexuality from a young age, I define myself as asexual, but there was that connection there with Jack, it was an intimate feeling.

"The first time that I noticed anything was a couple of months after we got married, my health started to decline.

"Lots of bad luck started happening to me, but I also knew about possession and things like that.

"This went on for almost two years, to the point where I ended up with sepsis last year and almost died."

Asked why she thought her health deteriorated she said: "He was basically like an energy vampire, so when spirits stay too long they need an energy source and Jack was bleeding me dry.

"In the end a lot of red flags I realised that it definitely was him I had an exorcism in December of last year."
