ITV This Morning's Phillip Schofield in stitches over Holly Willoughby's 'mean' move

Phillip Schofield was left in stitches over Holly Willoughby's "mean" antics today.

The popular This Morning presenters have worked on together on the hit breakfast show since 2009 and their laughing fits have become the stuff of telly legend.

They have been pals for more than 15 years and regularly post photos and videos of each other and their respective families on social media, which (during normal times before the pandemic) show them meeting up away from their place of work, with cute photos captured during the summer holidays, on nights out and even on joint holidays together.

Today, an excited Holly said they had cracked out the Christmas chocolates on the This Morning set, with the pair tucking into a tub of Quality Street ahead of skincare expert Caroline Hirons' segment.

Caroline, speaking via video link, said she was missing being in the studio now the presenters were indulging in festive treats.

Holly asked which chocolate was Caroline's favourite, with the skincare guru revealing it was the green triangle.

Bubbly Holly then picked up a green triangle and confirmed it was Caroline's favourite before opening it and scoffing into her mouth, saying it was "so delicious".

Phil burst into laughter and said he had never seen Holly "do something so mean". The pair both then started laughing, with Holly saying the chocolates were just "too good".

Caroline Hirons quipped: "I'm glad people can see what it's really like on here."
