This Morning's Phillip Schofield was forced to apologise after a guest swore on today's show.
The broadcaster fronted today's edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme alongside Holly Willoughby. The presenters interviewed James Smith on the release of his new book, How To Be Confident.
James is a life coach who has built up a large following as he helps people achieve their weight loss goals. Phil branded the fitness guru as "straight-talking" as he asked him how he got started as a personal trainer.
James played rugby at a semi-professional level before he became a life coach. He dropped an explicit remark as he revealed he was ridiculed when he made the decision to change careers.
He said: "Some of my teammates used to take the p**s out of me." Phil was taken aback by the remark as he mouthed "sorry" to the camera.
James has previously revealed on Facebook how he was now relieved he "wasn't good enough" to turn professional. He said: "I played rugby for 15 years and I'm weirdly glad I wasn't better.
"Despite a handful of games 'semi pro' I'm glad I was on the right side of the cusp of 'not good enough to make a living from it'. I've come to realise later on in life that all wins feel the same in life.
"There is no level you need to be at to enjoy them. Top league, bottom league, black belt, white belt. It's all the same. If only is a dangerous way to see the world.
"Wherever you are right now I assure you the victories you're making now are gonna feel the same as the victories you wish you had gotten. So the take home is to enjoy where you're at even if it's not where you thought you'd be.
"You decide the level you win at in life: no once can decide that level for you. So enjoy it."
