ITV This Morning's Holly Willoughby suspects Spin to Win contestant 'cheated'

This Morning's Holly Willoughby suggested a Liverpool contestant may not have won a holiday to Lanzarote fairly.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield introduced the  Spin to Win segment of the show a couple of weeks ago.

Callers have to answer their phone with the password given to them when they enter, followed by answering a question about the show which Holly and Phil ask them.

They then get the  chance to win cash or a holiday.

But today, a Liverpool contestant picked up the phone and answered 'hello', rather than the correct password of 'lime'.

Holly automatically grimaced, telling Phil: "She said hello".

But Phil questioned this saying: "Did she?"

Holly asked for a stewards enquiry, but Phil overruled giving the contestant the holiday.

It's fair to say some viewers weren't happy with the decision and even went as far as to accuse the contestant of cheating.

Carla said: "@thismorning @hollywills @Schofe Why did the woman say #hello and get to win a holiday? She definitely said HELLO then ‘Lime’. I hope all the others who were hung up on complain, #unfair #cheating #ThisMorning"

Carol tweeted: "#ThisMorning fed up of avidly tuning in and playing spin to win, when they don’t know the answer you tell them anyway.

"Then today she says hello and then you let her get away with it anyway. What’s the point in rules if you don’t follow them? Not fair on other players."

Martha said: "She said hello #ThisMorning do the comp again."

Patrick wrote: "Fairly sure that woman said "hello" - if they had rang me I would have done it properly."

But others found the lighter side of the funny situation.

Andrea said: "She definitely said hello", followed by cry-laughing emojis.

And Saira tweeted: "Hilarious reading comments about spin to win."
