ITV This Morning's Georgia Toffolo forced to clarify post after winning thousands on first £5k Cheltenham Festival bet

Georgia Toffolo was forced to clarify her comments after she won thousands of pounds on a £5k bet during the first day of the Cheltenham Festival.

The Made In Chelsea star was at the opening day of the huge horse racing event as she had been presenting at the event for ITV Racing.

But Georgia, 27, wanted to get in on the action herself and chose to have a flutter herself, splashing £5,000 on Constitution Hill and Jonbon finishing in first and second place, or vice versa.

And she was very right to do so as Constitution Hill led home a one-two for Nicky Henderson in the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle, while stablemate Jonbon came runner-up with Kilcruit in third.

Georgia's bet left her bagging an incredible £37,500 and sharing a photo of her betting slip, she told her followers: "OH MY GOD beginners luck. B***dy hell can’t believe it."

She then revealed she wouldn't be keeping the cash for herself, adding: "Generous donation incoming to both the @BritishRedCross and @decappeal."

But many were quick to call out the reality star and This Morning regular, suggesting it was a heft bet for someone who was having a go for the first time.

@WeahsCousin replied: "You were doing masterclasses three months ago," alongside a video of her dishing out tips for Ladbrokes.

Picking up on the comments, Georgia added: "Seeing some confusion re my caption – beginners luck because it was the first race of the festival! It is not, one might say my first rodeo.

"Wouldn’t normally share a bet like that but if it gets more people donating to the charities I’ll take the stick."

Her followers though were soon congratulating her.

@Quirky_Memories said: "Well done Toff, beginners luck at the festival, I get you. I had a forecast on Boxing Day and it paid out several hundred, the amount you choose to bet is your choice. Well done and noble cause to support may your luck continue today."

"Well done Toff. I had never really watched Im a celebrity. But saw yours and was impressed. And continue to be. So generous. Not sure of your football loyalties over racing but welcome to join my family at Vic!" @LBliss8 commented.

@nickjackson4163 wrote: "Yaaaay well done, and donating your winnings, your a top lady."
