Ruth Langsford had an emotional reunion with her husband Eamonn Holmes on This Morning following the death of her sister.
After a 'long illness' Julia Johnson tragically died, leaving Ruth heartbroken.
Since her sister's death, Ruth has postponed television appearances and failed to appear on This Morning.
But today, she was back on the daytime programme to the delight of fans and her husband.
Upon her return, Eamonn said: "It's very nice to see you back, darling."
Similarly fans flocked to Twitter offering their best wishes.
One wrote: "What a trooper Ruth is, after the passing of her sis she's back at work, respect."
Another said: "Welcome back Ruth Great to see you."
Nicole tweeted: "Aw so lovely to have Ruth back."
And a fourth said: "So nice to see you Ruth, hope today goes ok for you."
Ruth and Eamonn will be filling in for Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield for the next two months.
