ITV This Morning's Alison Hammond threatened with arrest by police on live TV

Alison Hammond was nearly arrested by Italian police during a live ITV broadcast.

The 44-year-old was live from Pisa in Italy promoting This Morning's latest competition when she ran into trouble with the law.

Excited as always, Alison was causing quite a commotion, but as she was telling viewers about how to enter a policewoman walks in front of the camera trying to move them on.

Alison said: "Look guys, we haven't got a permit, we are not allowed to film here. I'm gonna get arrested. I love you all. Laters."

She then turned to two officers, trying to smooth things over and said: "I am so sorry. Buongiorno."

Presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were shocked back in the studio, Phil left open mouthed.

They cut back to the mum-of-one who said she was 'still shaking', but the police approached her again, ushering her to move on.

Fearing an arrest, Alison bolted down the street away from the law and the camera operator.
