This Morning guest Kevin McCloud was left looking uncomfortable after host Ruth Langsford aimed a dig at her husband Eamonn Holmes over his DIY skills.
The pair were hosting a segment about 20 years of Grand Designs as Kevin prepares to launch a new series about his favourite builds from the show.
During the segment, Ruth and Eamonn asked Kevin about the strain the projects can take on families who decide to build their perfect home.
Admitting that he and Ruth could never undertake the challenge, Eamonn said the couple "would have split up" if they tried to build their own house.
Ruth quickly shot back across the This Morning sofa : "I would have done all the work."
Kevin looked around the studio awkwardly and said: "I'm not going to comment", before appearing to try to move the conversation on.
The Grand Designs host said couples "go through absolute hell" during the building and design process on the show.
But Eamonn got his own back later in the segment , when he left Ruth red-faced by saying she was not a fan of Grand Designs right in front of the show's host.
Eamonn said: "You don't watch Grand Designs and I do", while Ruth was left trying to explain herself.
The presenting duo are filling in for Holly and Phil on the popular daytime TV show, with guests on today's programme including Little Mix and Martin Lewis.
