Diversity star Jordan Banjo left This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard in tears after a jaw-dropping moment on live TV. Jordan, alongside his older brother Ashley Banjo and co-star Perri Kiely, appeared on the show to promote their new podcast. But it wasn’t just the podcast that got attention—it was Jordan’s unexpected decision to drop his trousers on air.
The moment came when Jordan revealed he had a tribute tattooed on his leg for the podcast. “My options were to hold a Boa constrictor for 30 seconds or get a tattoo of the podcast logo without knowing whether it would be successful or not,” he shared. “It’s on my leg. I will show you it if you want?”, the Mirror reports.
Naturally, Cat and Ben were intrigued, and Cat jokingly started chanting: “Get it out, get it out!” Jordan laughed and apologized, saying he’d have to remove his trousers to show the tattoo, which led to Cat’s cheeky comment: “We didn’t choose the snake, did we?”
Jordan’s response, laughing, was priceless: “It’s never been called that before!” The tattoo was a fun moment on This Morning, and fans watching got a glimpse of the inking that stemmed from a dare on their podcast Brothers Uncovered. The podcast, which sees the trio dive into hilarious weekly questions and game segments like “Would You Rather?”, was the source of Jordan’s tattoo forfeit, reported the Daily Record.
Earlier this year, Jordan also opened up about his past struggles with alcohol addiction during a special all-male episode of Loose Women. He revealed that during lockdown, he started drinking daily, a habit that quickly spiraled. “When we went into lockdown, I started drinking and it became a daily thing. Once it becomes a habit, it’s a hard thing to break,” he said.
He continued, sharing the personal experience: “This is going to sound so stupid. I was 28 in lockdown. This is going to sound dumb, but it was like I was 16 or 17. It was like, ‘Hang on a minute. I can just drink this and feel drunk and a bit merry!'”
The addiction grew until it reached a breaking point. “It became constant, constant, constant until it got to the point where in November 2023, I had to cut drinking cold,” he explained. He also revealed the secrecy around his drinking, admitting that he would sneak drinks when he thought his wife, Naomi Courts, wouldn’t notice. “It got to the point where I was having dinner with my wife and I’d take my plate out to the kitchen and I was secretly topping up, hoping I didn’t get caught,” Jordan shared.
