ITV This Morning gives emotional update on singing Ukrainian girl that left Holly Willoughby in tears

Holly Willoughby was left emotional once again during the latest episode of This Morning as the show provided an update on the Ukrainian girl who went viral for singing earlier this week.

On Monday's show the 41-year-old presenter struggled to speak after watching the video of the young girl, named Amelia, singing Disney's Frozen hit Let It Go in her native language.

The video of the little girl is said to have been filmed as she and her family tried to stay safe in a makeshift bomb shelter in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

The footage, which was first posted on Facebook by Marta Smekhova who says she filmed it with permission from the girl's mother, was shown on Monday's This Morning as Holly and co-host Phillip Schofield as they discussed the latest news headlines with the Daily Telegraph's associate editor Camillia Tominey and show regular Gyles Brandreth.

As the regular guests discussed the heartbreaking yet uplifting video, Holly replied quietly: "It's horrible," as her voice began to wobble and Phillip cut in: "Let's leave it there," with his eyes also appearing filled with emotion.

On Wednesday's show, during the 'This Morning's View' segment, Phillip gave viewers the good news that she Amelia made it safely out of Ukraine.

Phillip said: "We were reporting earlier in the week - and it was very upsetting to see - about Amelia Anisovych, who went viral last week singing Let It Go from Frozen in a bunker in Kyiv.

"The latest news on her is that she’s made it safely out of Ukraine. She’s now with her brother."

However, Holly was visibly emotional and quietly said that Amelia had escaped the war torn country, but "not with her parents".

Emotions have been high on the ITV daytime show this week with Holly being defended by viewers after breaking down in tears for a second day on Tuesday.

The latest emotional desiplay came as the hosts spoke about an 11-year-old Ukrainian refugee, who hasn't been named, who was forced to travel 600 miles alone to the Slovakian border.

A picture of the young boy appeared on screen as Phillip, 59, told his story and that he traveled almost the entire width of the country with just a plastic bag and a passport with a phone number written on his hand.
