This Morning fans were in tears after a viewer called in to detail his loneliness and sadness at not being able to spend Christmas with his wife.
Ted called in to speak with This Morning presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, as well as resident advice guru Vanessa Feltz.
Ted's wife Jessie is currently in a care home and suffers from dementia which means the couple cannot spend the festive period together.

He revealed he was devastated and hasn't seen Jessie for six months.
Ted said: "I'll miss my wife so much this Christmas."
To help combat feelings of loneliness, Ted has been having weekly calls from advisers at Age UK.
Phil said: "Anyone who is a similar situation at Christmas, would you recommend they reach out to Age UK?"
Ted said: "Without a doubt, they're so helpful - there's always someone to talk to."

Of how he's spent his time throughout the pandemic, Ted said he has completed puzzles because it "keeps him sane".
Viewers were touched by his experience and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
Sarah-Jayne shared crying emojis and said: "Oh Ted you are adorable."
Ryan said: "Christmas will be very different for all of us this year Ted. How very sad."
Juliet commented: "Poor Ted. It’s absolutely heartbreaking."
