ITV This Morning fans completely confused as they watch Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield 'hitting' themselves

This Morning viewers wondered what they had tuned in to when they saw Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield 'hitting' themselves. The hosting duo were back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Thursday (January 19) for what is their last show of the week.

It's been another interesting week for the pair with a variety of celebrity and expert guests but to round off their week on the programme before Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary take over on Friday (January 20), they were joined by Katie Brindle.

Katie is a Chinese medicine practitioner, healer, empath, life healer and mentor with over 20 years of clinical experience and was on hand to show Holly, 41, and Phillip, 60, about body drumming.

She got them to pat themselves in different areas, from their feet up to their chests, while explaining what the body part would benefit from such as how patting their hip and abdomen area would aid digestion. She also said the practice was meant to "invigorate the energy channels and the circulation".

After concluding the segment, Holly and Phillip did say they felt the benefits but This Morning viewers were deeply confused by what they were seeing. @phil72192361 tweeted: "What am I watching. #ThisMorning."

Oh seriously ffs." @HowlinMad3 posted: "Wtf have I turned on to here #thismorning." But @EdgarIrene joked in reply: "Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it! #ThisMorning."

Others, however, were worried if they gave it a go themselves. @Poppyblew said: "Oh my God! If I did this, I'd be black and blue. #ThisMorning." @Mabel_Mouse_ added: "If I did this I’d end up covered in bruises. #ThisMorning."
