ITV This Morning couple Eamonn and Ruth wear special bracelets to warn of allergy danger

Eammon Holmes and Ruth Langsford wore very special bracelets on today's This Morning to raise awareness of allergies.

Former This Morning producer Amy May Shead was left severely brain damaged after having a severe allergic reaction to nuts from just one mouthful of food in 2014.

Amy has lived in specialist care since then - but this week returned home to a specially adapted house.

Ruth went to visit Amy in her new home on today's This Morning - with Amy's parents admitting they grieve for their daughter everyday.

After the film was shown Eammon and Ruth revealed their bracelets for the Amy May Trust - which supports Amy and helps to raise awareness of the devastating impact allergies can have.

And a fourth added: "Not gonna lie, I’ve never looked at nut allergies as seriously as that. Absolutely devastating. Such a sad story but hopefully it’s made many more people like myself more aware of how serious a nut allergy is."
