ITV This Morning chef James Martin angry after 'nightmare' soup fail

James Martin was left annoyed and fed up today as his cooking segment on This Morning went horribly wrong.

The celebrity chef was meant to be whipping up cauliflower soup for hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, but his section was plagued by blunders.

James' soup started to boil over as he made cheese twists, with Holly and Phil having to shout at him to move the pan off the stove.

But it was when he went to blend it that the true disaster occurred.

As he worked against the clock James put everything in the blender, but forgot to put the lid on properly meaning the soup went everywhere.

Holly and Phil burst into laughter, but James looked angry and said: "This is what happens, when you're used to a Saturday show you're used to chilling out in your home, you get as much time as you want.

"What I've got today is a director in my ear telling me I've got seven minutes, now I've got six minutes, now five minutes and now I've got one minute apparently."

Phil said: "Yeah but look how you're using those minutes."

And viewers watching at home were left in fits of laughter.

Tabitha said: "That’s how a cooking show should be! Laughing my socks off at James. I’ll definitely be trying these recipes, just love Cauli soup."

Cath Sweeny said: "James was hilarious cooking. Just goes to show that even the best can make a mess of cooking."
