ITV The Voice Kids viewers 'bawling' over boy's tribute to Whitney Houston

ITV The Voice Kids viewers were left in tears over a young boy's rendition of a Whitney Houston song.

The episode, which was filmed before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, showcased performers during the Blind Auditions, with coaches Will.i.am, Pixie Lott, Paloma Faith and Danny Jones unable to see the children singing.

Dara, 12, had all four judges turn their chairs around after a beautiful performance of icon Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing.

The youngster revealed a school play had ignited his passion for singing - with his parents unaware of his talent until his school teacher rang them to tell them about his ability.

All four judges wanted the opportunity to coach Dara after his impressive performance.

Viewers couldn't believe Dara's voice and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Tiff said: "Already bawling my eyes out at #thevoicekids."

Another viewer said: "Never watched #thevoicekids and just heard one of my favourite songs & it actually made me cry. Whitney Houston - I have nothing. He was great!!"

Bev said: "OMG amazing. I felt so emotional watching that performance. Wow".

Laura said: "The Voice Kids has been on for about a minute and I’m already in tears at this boy!!! So good man, tackling a Whitney song!!"
