ITV The Cube causes confusion among fans with big change to show

The Cube returned to ITV tonight but viewers were quick to spot a big change to the show.

The episode saw celebrities take on The Cube, hosted by Phillip Schofield, in a bid to win cash for their charities.

Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter from McFly were the first to take on the games and managed to win a huge £50,000 for their chosen charity.

And Kate Robbins and her daughter Emily Atack also tried to defeat The Cube and managed to take £20,000 home for their charity.

But lots of fans at home were quick to point out the fact that the prize money on The Cube had gone back down to the £250,000 jackpot for the celebrity version, rather than the million pound prize money in the civilian version.

And many of them took to social media to point out the change.

Emmerson MBE said: "What happened to million pound cube? Budget cuts already at ITV?"

Daniel W Eve said: "HEY PHIL - why is this show not the million pound we are use too???"

Sam Walsh said: "Why's # theCUBE gone back to 250k and not 1 million ? Is this an old episode?"

Jack Sullivan said: "Even @ Schofe ’s @ THECUBETV is on furlough, it’s gone back from £1 Million to £250,000."

And Joseph Mendy said: "I'm surprised the top prize was back down to £250k for the celebrity specials. It was £1 Million during the civilian series?"
