Viewers of award-winning gameshow The Chase were left shocked today when a Hollywood actor took the lower offer.
Michael Sheen appeared on the ITV programme to help raise money for Soccer Aid.
But the 50-year-old decided to go low when he faced Mark "The Beast" Labbett, surprising fans after Sky presenter Sarah-Jane Mee banked £70,000.
After racking up £5,000 in the cash builder, the Frost/Nixon actor took the £2,000 when he went head-to-head.
Fans of the show were disappointed, one said: "What?! Go high."

Another said on Twitter: "For shame Mr Sheen."
A third added: "These group of celebrities should be f*****g ashamed, the only one there with any dignity is Sarah."
He joined Sarah and Martin Bell, a former war reporter who brought back the lower offer of £500, in the final.
And Michael won the audience back with his solid performance, one said: "Great contribution to the final chase Martin... really well done."
Another said: "Michael Sheen is the backbone of this team rn [right now]."
They scored an impressive 21 points, but The Beast found it easy and caught them.
The Chase said they would not let them go empty handed as it was for charity and gave £3,000 to Soccer Aid.
