ITV The Chase fans were left feeling "awkward" by one player's "cringey" interaction with presenter Bradley Walsh.
Older player Carol went up against Paul 'the Sinnerman' Sinha in tonight's episode of the hit quiz show and made it back to the final round - but it was her conversation with host Bradley that raised eyebrows.
Before her cash builder round, Carol told Bradley "the girls at her bowling club" had sent their love, and that they all found him to be very attractive and funny.
Her praise of Bradley continued, until he moved on to ask what she'd do if she won some money.
Carol replied: "I'd have some cosmetic surgery."
The audience laughed at her response, before she added the cosmetic surgery would not be for herself, but for her car instead.
Viewers dubbed the exchange "awkward" and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
Gem commented: "The Chase just got cringey! [laughing emoji]".
Heather said: "Bradley [blushing emoji]" and added a GIF telling him to "run".
Ian added: "She's trying to be funny and failing miserably."
Liam simply said: "Awkward".
And Ben said: "Bradley's got a fan".
Another viewer commented: "Imagine an old male contestant talking like that to a younger female host.... just imagine it".
Carol made it back to the final round with two other contestants, but the team of three were caught by Paul 'the Sinnerman' Sinha with 34 seconds remaining, meaning they lost their £18,000 jackpot.
At the end of the show when congratulating the team for their efforts, Bradley told Carol to give his love to "the girls at the bowling club".
