ITV The Chase viewers demand 'sort it out' after unexpected issue

The Chase fans were baffled as an unexpected issue impacted today's episode.

Bradley Walsh returned to front Monday's edition of the popular ITV gameshow. The 62-year-old welcomed Gareth, Aaron, Nicky and Julie on to the latest episode.

The quizzers tested their wits against Mark Labbett in a bid to win a huge cash prize. Gareth started off in superb form as he earned £7,000 in the cash builder.

The player continued his impressive display as he proceeded to confidently navigate his way past The Chaser to book his place in the Final Chase. The quizzer was joined by Nicky and Julie in the final chase and were competing for £12,000.

They built up 17 steps and left empty handed when The Beast caught them with 24 seconds remaining. However, the episode was hit with an unexpected problem as Twitter went down during the broadcast

Viewers regularly tweet along while watching the show, but were unable to share their thoughts at the start of the latest episode as more than 3,000 people logged complaints with Down Detector after 5pm.

The problem was resolved during the episode and fans urged Twitter to "sort it out" after the latest problem in a string of issues since the social media platform was taken over by Elon Musk.

One user said: "Somethings going on with Twitter cant upload any Gifs or images...."

Another added: "If anyone is attaching a picture with their tweet... You'll have to describe the gif / picture in brackets"

Mace posted: "Is anyone else getting strange error messages on Twitter ?"

Lois said: "Will save my witty gif selection because Twitter is having a paddy ey" She added: "Sort it out."

Katie tweeted: "Twitter broke"

Victoria said: "Twitter is still having a moment"
