ITV The Chase team nearly lose £10k after player admits plan to take minus offer

A team on The Chase nearly lost £10,000 after a player admitted her plan was to take the minus offer.

Jenny, who had dreams of going to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, was the last to face Chaser Shaun Wallace in the head-to-head.

Her fellow contestants had earned an incredible prize fund of £38,000 with Ken securing an impressive £30,000.

But after Jenny scored £3,000 in the cash-builder she admitted to Bradley Walsh how tempted she was by the low offer.

Ken, Indy and Victoria urged her to stick with the middle option of £3k, but Jenny remained quiet.

She said: "I always said I'd take the lower offer in this position."

However, in a turn of events Jenny decided to go against her instincts.

She added: "But I like these people and I can't do it to them, so I'll stick with the three."

Bradley said: "They breathed a sigh of relief. I'll tell you what Jenny, fair play to you love, there are a lot of people would have taken the minus 10."

And Jenny was glad she took the middle offer as she breezed through to the last round.

In the final chase, the Dark Destroyer had to beat a target of 18, but only managed to score 12, meaning the team went home with £10,250 each.
