ITV The Chase's Shaun Wallace 'destroyed' by contestant who scoops huge cash prize

Shaun Wallace was destroyed on The Chase today as a team of three won £75,000.

The contestants had a rocky start after Dave from Shropshire was knocked out, despite securing £6000 in the cash-builder.

Anton, a taxi driver from Glasgow restored some of the confidence, bringing home £7000.

Emma added an extra £4000 to the cash-builder - bringing the team total to £11,000.

But retired actor Bonny pulled it out of the bag.

Initially, she scored £5000 in the cash-builder, but decided during the head-to-head to go for £64,000.

The 68-year-old smashed it out of the park, answering nearly every question correctly.

Shaun Wallace was left in awe, saying: "Give her a big hug from me Bradley. Thoroughly deserved and she knew the answers to those questions."

Bonny's £64k win meant the team had an incredible £75,000 to play for.

If Anton, Emma and Bonny won, they would go home with £25,000 each - but they had to beat The Dark Destroyer first.

The team scored a solid 17 in the final, but required a couple of pushbacks if they were to go home with the money.

Luckily they didn't have to worry too much as Shaun ran out of time scoring only 11.

Shaun said: "That was a dismal day at the office and they deserved to win."
