ITV The Chase's Paul the Sinnerman Sinha walks off show after his 'worst performance'

Chaser Paul 'the Sinnerman' Sinha was mortified by his performance during tonight's episode of The Chase.

In a head-to-head against contestant Natalie, the Chaser got several questions wrong and said it was one of his "worst ever" performances.

Player Natalie was able to earn £4,000 in her cash builder round and became the only member of her team to make it back to the Final Chase.

In the head-to-head, Paul put his head in his hands after answering a few questions incorrectly and then jokingly stormed off the set, leaving presenter Bradley Walsh in stitches.

Bradley had asked the pair which science fiction writer created the planet Krikkit, with authors Douglas Adams, Arthur C Clarke and Isaac Asimov being the three options.

Natalie correctly answered Douglas Adams while the Sinnerman opted for Isaac Asimov.

He was visibly frustrated at getting question wrong, especially after getting the previous one wrong as well.

Getting out of his seat, he walked out of the back of the studio and was seen rubbing his face in frustration.

Natalie said: "Has he actually gone?"

But the Chaser returned to his seat and lamented over his performance.

Then before an advert break, Paul said he needed to apply an intravenous line of coffee and spinach in order to up his game.

Fans took to Twitter to discuss the famous quizzer's performance.

Nathan said: "frankly @paulsinha is having a very average game tonight will the team take advantage ahead of tonight’s @ITVChase final?".

Nick said: "Watching the Sinnerman walking out and come back to be in position reminds me so much of why I love #TheChase so much".

Another fan, also called Nick, said: "Omg the Sinnerman walked out and then came back, that really made me laugh".

Unfortunately, Natalie was caught with 44 seconds remaining in the final round and was unable to take the £4,000 jackpot home.

*The Chase airs every weeknight on ITV at 5pm
