ITV The Chase's Paul Sinha mocks contestant for forgetting crucial fact

A Chase contestant was left embarrassed tonight as she forgot her own children's names.

Housewife Lucy, 37, chatted to host Bradley Walsh before she went up against The Sinnerman, Paul Sinha, who was tonight's Chaser.

Lucy from Hythe told Bradley she had four children, two dogs a cat and a husband called Dave.

Bradley asked her what her children were called and Lucy looked startled and struggled to answer him.

She eventually said that her children were called Jennifer, Alfie, Mabel and Gracie.

She said: "Sorry I'm so nervous"

And Bradley said: "You're so nervous you can't even remember your children's names."

Despite her nerves Lucy managed to get £4,000 in her cash builder before going up against The Sinnerman.

But Lucy told Bradley she wished she was facing The Beast, Mark Labbett, as she had "a bit of a thing for Mark."

Paul was also quick to pick up on Lucy's faux pas and said: "I have a lot of time for a contestant who knows more about Lancashire cricket club than they do about the names of their own children."

And viewers were also quick to pick up on Lucy's error.

@renaspaine said: "I cant remember my kids' names either.. it's the wine."

mm150 said: "We all forget the names when we need one so we say all the names."

However despite her earlier failings Lucy managed to get back to her team with the £4,000, even after some tough questions.

*The Chase airs weeknights at 5pm on ITV
