Paul Sinha was left in awe of a 'superb' player from Liverpool on The Chase tonight.

Debbie, who also runs beer tours in Manchester and Liverpool, had a lot to live up to, as the two prior contestants had bagged £37,000 for the team already.

But no one quite expected what happened next.

During the cash-builder, Debbie secured a substantial prize pot of £8000.

She then faced Paul Sinha in the head-to-head who commended her performance.

He said: "A superb performance but as a Eurovision fan it's time for making your mind up."

Despite being given the option of a high and a low offer, Debbie stuck with her £8000.

She managed to answer most questions correctly, easily showing why she deserved a place in the final.

Fans at home were also amazed by her stellar performance, with many complimenting Debbie on Twitter.

Jeannie said: "Debbie is a clever girl."
