ITV The Chase's Mark Labbett unrecognisable as he shows off 10st weight loss

Mark Labbett looked unrecognisable as he showed off his slimmer frame in new pictures.

The Beast adopted a new diet plan and followed a healthier lifestyle after he was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in 2016 - as Mirror Online reports.

Mark was 29st stone at his heaviest in 2003 and he revealed he had lost 10st during an appearance on Loose Women earlier this year.

The 56-year-old said: “I am gradually dropping Xs off my size. I’ve gone from 5XL to 4XL and it looks like the next time I go shopping I’ll be able to squeeze into XL underpants.

“I’ve lost 10 stone, I was 29 stone when I was a full-time teacher in 2003 and I was in danger of high blood pressure.

“I’ve been around 26 stone up until lockdown, and then a few things happened quite nicely and came together and I started losing weight.”

The Beast was spotted out and about in London today showing off his weight loss transformation.

Mark told the Express how he was first alerted to his diabetes by an eagle eyed nurse.

He said: "I've got skin that doesn't heal properly in my lower legs.

"A nurse looked at me and she asked, 'Are you sure you're not diabetic?' They took a test and she said, 'Yes, you're diabetic.'"

The 6ft6 TV star revamped his lifestyle and credits his golden retriever for getting him in the habit of regular exercise.

Speaking on ITV's The Pet Show, Mark described Baloo as his "personal trainer" who helped him get active.

He said: “I was walking him around the fields, taking me places… I think he’s helped a lot, simply because I’m doing more activity.”
