ITV The Chase's Jenny Ryan makes silly mistake leading to contestant victory

The Chase's Jenny Ryan made a silly error which led to a contestant getting through to the final chase.

When going head-to-head against 23-year-old Janine from St Andrews, The Vixen answered a question wrong on the ITV game show because her "finger slipped" and pressed the wrong option.

The 37-year-old was embarrassed by the error, but fans at home didn't buy it.

One said: "Aye your "hand slipped"... Course it did!"

Another tweeted : "My finger slipped ...yeah right."

A third said: "Hand slipped! How did she not know that lol"

Jenny's mistake helped Janine bank £5,000 for her team, and this seemed to affect the chaser 's performance as all four got through with a total of £14,000.

The whole team got back for the final chase (ITV)

Starting with a default of four points, they added ten correct answers to make 14.

But Jenny brought herself back for the final chase and the whole team went home with nothing.

*The Chase is on ITV, weekdays from 5pm (This was a repeat from series nine)
