ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh taken aback as 'nervous' player's TV past uncovered

Bradley Walsh was wowed as a player's TV past was uncovered on The Chase.

The 62-year-old welcomed four new quizzers on Wednesday's edition of the ITV programme. Dick, Jenny, Evie and Matthew were testing their wits against Jenny Ryan to win big money.

Dick started off in impressive fashion as he progressed to the Final Chase with £8,000. Jenny was next up and Bradley remarked the player seemed "very nervous" as she stepped up to the podium.

The host was taken aback when Jenny revealed it wasn't the first time she had appeared on TV. She said: "Years ago I was on 15 to 1. And I was on Jeopardy many many years ago."

Bradley was confused as he claimed he never understood Jeopardy. Jenny agreed the classic show was "odd" before revealing she won the show.

She said: "I won about 500 and something pound which was a lot of money in the 80s." Bradley shot back with a cheeky remark about a rival gameshow.

He said: "Let me tell you, you'd win that now if you was to go on Pointless next door." Jenny proceeded to continue her impressive display as she booked her spot in the last round with £7,000.

Matthew joined the team in the final as they were competing for a grand total of £19,000. They built up 21 steps, but left empty-handed as they were caught by the Vixen with 7 seconds remaining.
