ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh stunned at player's 'unbelievable' blunder

ITV The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh was left stunned by a player's "unbelievable" blunder on tonight's epsiode.

Contestant Tony earned £5,000 in his cash builder round, but struggled when he came up against Chaser Anne "the Governess" Hegerty in the head to head.

After successfully guessing four questions correctly, Tony had just one question left to make it back to his team and bag a spot in the Final Chase.

Bradley asked: "According to Cats Protection, superstition and prejudice about what colour cats mean they take longer to be re-homed?"

The answer options were ginger, black and tabby - with the correct answer being black and presenter Bradley assuming Tony would select the right answer.

But Tony selected ginger.

Shocked, Bradley repeatedly said Tony's answer was "unbelievable", especially after "coming all that way".

Viewers were equally stunned and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Paul said: "How on f***ing earth could you get that question wrong."

Andi said: "Ginger??? So silly."

Polly commented: "You bloody fool".

Chloe said: "How gutted would you be!!!"

One viewer added: "Tony seems a decent chap - luck just ran out. Shame".

The episode was a repeat.

*The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV
