ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh pleads with Shaun Wallace to stay after 'walk-off'

Bradley Walsh pleaded with Shaun Wallace to stay after he threatened to storm off twice during The Chase.

The 61-year-old presenter welcomed four new players on Monday's edition of the popular ITV gameshow.

Sarah, Alan, Francesca and Chris were testing their wits against the Dark Destroyer in a bid to win a cash prize.

Sarah was first to take on The Chaser on today's show - and the primary school teacher from Warrington built up £7,000 in an impressive cash builder.

The 46-year-old proceeded to book her place in the Final Chase as she navigated her way past Shaun.

However, Sarah admitted she got fortunate with a number of guesses, which left The Dark Destroyer in disbelief.

Shaun declared the head-to-head was "getting on his nerves" before he announced he was "off" when Sarah attributed a quote to the correct playwright.

The Chaser stayed on - and praised Sarah after her performance.

He said: "Well played Sarah. Whether she guessed it or not, she still kept her nerve."

Shaun joked he was going to walk off again during a head-to-head with Alan in seat 2, but Bradley encouraged The Chaser to stay.

He said: "Don't go. Stay with us."

The Chaser reclaimed his spot at the head of the podium and proceeded to catch Alan meaning he headed for an early exit.

Francesca and Chris both managed to avoid The Chaser - and were competing for a whopping total of £66,000.

The team built up 15 steps in the Final Chase, but Shaun was only able to earn 12 steps so the players left with the huge cash prize.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITV Hub
