ITV The Chase's Bradley Walsh hits back as co-star calls out 'cheating habit'

Bradley Walsh hit back as he was accused of a cheating habit on today's The Chase.

The 62-year-old presented returned to front Monday's edition of the popular ITV game show. Cally, Robin, Sam and Julie were testing their wits against Anne Hegerty in a bid to win a cash prize.

Cally was first up and earned £8,000 in an impressive cash-builder. The law-student proceeded to engage in a tense head-to-head against The Governess.

The host asked: "A 2018 set of stamps featuring which London palace depicts the 'Pond Gardens', 'Great Fountain Gardens' and 'Maze'."

The correct answer was Hampton Court Palace, which boasts the UK's oldest surviving hedge maze. Anne accused Bradley of stressing this part of the question to give Cally a clue.

She said: "I love the extremely subtle way you went maze just to make sure she knew." Bradley hit back at the accusation as he insisted he didn't provide any clues to Cally.

The players defended Bradley before he jokingly stressed a word in the next question. Cally progressed to the final and was joined by Robin in the Final Chase as they competed for £12,000.

They built up just 12 steps and left with the cash prize after Anne could only build up 5 steps in the last round.
