ITV The Chase's Anne Hegerty cuts herself off amid 'sacking' fear

Anne Hegerty cut herself during today's The Chase as she shared a sacking concern.

The Governess returned to take on four new players on this week's final edition of the popular ITV game show. Bradley Walsh was in the hosting seat as he welcomed Deborah, Michelle, Onawale and Matt on today's show.

Deborah was up first and put in a hugely impressive performance to earn £7,000 in the cashbuilder. The 56-year-old worked as a gynaecologist, which prompted the Governess to joke she would not be able to allow to make any comments as part of her pre head-to-head mind games.

She said: "I can't say that. I can't do that line. That's gonna get me fired. Shall we just get on with it?" Deborah continued her immense performance as she smoothly booked her spot in the Final Chase.

It was a strong team on Friday's episode as all the players progressed to the last round. The team were competing for a grand total of £25,000 and Brad was convinced they would have too much for the Chaser.

They built up 21 steps, but the host was shocked as Anne put in a great performance to catch them with 14 seconds remaining.
