Anne Hegerty corrected Bradley Walsh on The Chase today , only for her answer to be wrong.
Chet and Hannah were through to the final round, hoping to win the prize fund of £24k.
Answering 15 questions correctly, the pair needed some pushbacks if they were going to secure the cash.
The Chaser Anne was given a tough set of questions, faltering three times.
However, Chet and Hannah answered her questions incorrectly, seeing her storm through their score of 15 with 23 seconds to go.
Host Bradley was amazed at Anne's ability to answer some difficult questions, including one about the production of vanilla.
The Chaser was asked which country is the largest producer of vanilla, with Anne answering Madagascar.
Bradley was stunned when her answer proved correct, and later asked her how she knew.
Anne said: "It's a big island, so I just thought Madagascar."
Bradley replied: "Australia is a big island as well."
To which Anne said: "Actually Bradley, Australia is a continent."
Bradley said: "Well if it's got water around it, it's an island to me."
However, fans of the show took to Twitter, revealing that Anne was indeed wrong.
Steve said: "Since when did Australia become a continent?"
Another user said: "I thought the continent was called Australasia not Australia. Brad’s right I believe."
Stephen said: "Hang on a minute Anne, I thought Australasia was the continent?"
Bradley told viewers at home if they knew the difference between Australia being a continent or an island, they might be clever enough to apply for The Chase.
