ITV The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh in shock over young player's job

Bradley Walsh was left stunned by a young player's qualifications on The Chase.

On tonight's episode, which was a repeat, player Daniel tried his chances against Chaser Jenny "the Vixen" Ryan.

The popular quiz show sees a team of four strangers try and beat one of the eponymous Chasers in a bid to build and win a cash prize.

Tonight, presenter Bradley Walsh couldn't believe Daniel was a qualified airline pilot.

Daniel, who had travelled down from Glasgow to take part in the smash-hit quiz show, said: "At the moment, I'm working in a bar, but I'm a qualified airline pilot."

Bradley was stunned and asked if the player was "a bit young" for such a job.

But Daniel said he wasn't that young and had friends who were qualified pilots at the age of 22.

The player assured him he had flown large planes.

Bradley said: "Did they have passengers on?"

The player laughed and said he had flown planes with passengers on board.

Bradley quipped: "Don't they just think you're someone's son dressed up in a uniform?"

Daniel was able to earn £7,000 in his cash builder round but, like two of his team mates, he was eliminated by Jenny Ryan.

As he stepped down from the famous podium, Bradley told him: "I hope to fly with you, I really do."

*The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm
