ITV The Chase player ignores team's advice but fans love her for it

A Chase contestant made a bold move tonight which fans loved, despite her team advising her against it.

Lunchtime supervisor Danielle had urged her teammates to go for the high offer throughout the show but when it came to her turn, viewers were convinced she wouldn't do the same.

The 42-year-old mum confessed to Bradley that she was obsessed with arts and crafts and had recently got into DIY.

Danielle scored £4,000 in her cash builder and went up against The Sinnerman, Paul Sinha, who was tonight's Chaser.

Paul told her: "It's a good job you like DIY because if you want someone to go high, you'll have to do it yourself."

He offered her a low offer of minus £1,000 and a high offer of £40,000.

Her team told her to go for the middle offer in a bid to get back to them, and discouraged her from going high.

But Danielle paid them no attention and said: "I'm a woman of my word, I'll go £40k, I'm only here once, might as well go for it."

And viewers at home loved her attitude.

Victoria said: "She went high good on you Danielle stuck to your word."

Michael said: "Well played that dinner lady."

Big Ears said: "Go on Danielle!"

And Pan said: "Respect to Danielle - giving it a go . Seems a nice person."

Sadly Danielle's gamble didn't pay off and she failed to get back to her team.

Bradley asked her if she had any regrets and she said: "no regrets, came with nothing, go home with nothing."

Bradley praised her and said: "You're very brave, very gutsy."
