ITV The Chase fans thrilled as show returns but they have questions

The Chase fans were thrilled tonight as the show finally returned to ITV.

The game show has been off screens for a couple of months, with Cash Strapped taking its 5pm slot.

Fans have had to put up with repeats of the show and the odd celeb special over the Christmas period.

But on New Year's Day the show returned with a new series - and viewers couldn't have been more happy.

Newky said: "All is right with the world again , #TheChase is back!"

Robert Diniro said: "The chase back on thank god."

Dave said: "Think we can all safely say we've really missed @ITVChase, please never go away again x #thechase"

Jamie Lewis Rennie said: "So glad @ITVChase is back on! We've missed you, ain't we @ITV? #TheChase"

However they did have questions as there was no mention of the new Chaser that was rumoured to be starting this series.

Kirsty Ann Richards said: "So glad #thechase is back!! Thought there was a new chaser though."

LMC said: "Thought they were introducing a new chaser."

And Robin Chapman said: "Is this series where a new chaser starts."

Tonight The Beast took on four new contestants, knocking Account Manager Paul from Sheffield off the team with ease.
