ITV The Chase fans stunned by team's 'walking disaster' habit

ITV The Chase viewers were left stunned by a team's unusual habit on tonight's episode.

The smash-hit quiz show sees a team of strangers go up against one of the eponymous Chasers in a bid to build and win a cash jackpot.

Tonight's episode, which was a repeat, saw the strangers following the same doomed pattern.

The first three players, Chris, Steve and Lucie, each amassed a decent sum in their cash builder rounds before floundering and failing in their head-to-head against Paul 'the Sinnerman' Sinha.

Viewers were stunned by the team's performance and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Kurtis said: "Why is everyone doing ok in the cash builder but thick on the table this episode?"

Jacquie said: "This team are a walking disaster!"

Neil said: "Wheels came off ...."

Rik commented: "If seat 4 is as bright as the others we could squeeze in another episode of #thechase before the news..."

But Brian thought the questions had been tricky and said: "Questions on #TheChase tonight have been set by the devil".

Fourth and final player Barbara, from Southport, was left to try and face the Chaser alone.

Barbara praised her seaside hometown and said if she won any money, she'd love to go to Japan.

She earned £4,000 in her cash builder round and made it back to the Final Chase for a solo showdown.

Paul Sinha praised her performance in the head-to-head and said: "Barbara, to her credit, has watched the carnage before her" and played well.

*The Chase airs on ITV weekdays at 5pm
