ITV The Chase fans spot quirky link between four contestants

Fans of The Chase noticed an usual link between the contestants this evening.

Shelley, Cliff, Coral and Sandy appeared on the show to take on chaser Shaun Wallace. They hoped to test their wits against the quizmaster and go home with a cash prize.

But as viewers at home watched them battle it out to make it to the final they were distracted. Taking to Twitter, fans pointed out the unusual link.

Relating to the players' names, fans noticed that they were all beach themed. Some viewers joked that the Beach Boys had appeared on the show.

Jordan said: "Why do they keep theming the names #TheChase". Franz said: "Cliff, Coral, Sandy and Shelley on #TheChase Life's a beach!"

Rich said: "Shelley, Cliff, Coral and Sandy. The Beach Boys? #TheChase" Chris said: "Producers on #thechase had a field day here. Contestants named sandy, coral, cliff and Shelley."
