ITV The Chase fans spooked after hearing strange voice on show

The Chase fans were left confused tonight as they heard a mysterious voice on the show.

Tonight as retired nurse Debbie returned to her seat after winning £5,000 for her team, some viewers heard a voice.

As Debbie, 56, returned to her team her voice could be heard, with Bradley's too, but there was also a childlike voice.

The voice was indistinct, but sounded like it could be a child saying 'ne na ne na' or something similar.

And viewers were quick to take to social media following the strange ocurrance.

Irene Edgar said: "Did anyone else hear a childlike voice speaking as Debbie went back to her seat, or was I just hearing things!!??"

Giuseppe said: "Am I the only one who heard a voice when Debbie was going back to her seat!"

While Lord Grey Stroke suggested it could have been another contestant, saying: "It was Emma saying "well done" in a childlike voice."

There were three players left in the final Chase against The Governess, Anne Hegerty, who was tonight's Chaser.

The team set a good target of 16, but Anne beat them with ease, meaning they left with nothing.

*The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV tomorrow
