ITV The Chase fans split as they 'recognise' player from Netflix

Fans of The Chase swore that one player had been on television before.

Bradley Walsh welcomed Dan, Nadine, Marcus and Analiese to test their wits and take on a chaser. Each of the players took on quizzer Paul Sinha in a bid to win a cash prize as they hoped to not get caught.

But Dan, a 43-year-old who works in recruitment, distracted viewers as they were sure they 'recognised' him. Some posted to Twitter arguing among themselves over which celebrity he looked most like.

Cheryl said: "I swear I've seen Dan on something else #TheChase." Russell said: "#thechase It’s the guy from Wednesday on the Chase."

David said: "Dan reminds me of David Zayas for some reason #thechase." Ophelia said: "Is that Gomez Addams? #TheChase."
