ITV The Chase fans praise 'warrior' contestant for brave move

The Chase fans praised a contestant who made an incredibly brave move on tonight's show.

Funeral Director Paddy from Newry managed to score £4,000 in his cash builder, before going up against The Chaser.

Paddy, 28, chatted to host Bradley Walsh before taking on The Menace, Darragh Ennis, who was tonight's Chaser.

Paddy said he wanted to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with his girlfriend if he won cash on the show.

As he faced the new Chaser, Paddy said that if he was offered eight times more than he'd brought to the table he would consider taking the high offer.

Darragh took him at his word and offered him 11 times more, with a high offer of £44,000.

Paddy's team told him not to go for the high offer and to "please come back" with the £4,000 he'd taken to the table.

But Paddy ignored them and said he was a man of his word and was going to take the higher offer.

Darragh said: "I love a man of his word."

And Bradley said: "This is brilliant, I love it."

Viewers at home took to social media to praise his brave decision.

Paul Doherty said: "High offer warrior alert klaxon."

Mark Davies said: "Good man Paddy!"

Peanut said: "Fair play taking the high offer."

And Tamsin said: "Well done Paddy."

But sadly Paddy's bravery didn't pay off as he was knocked out by The Chaser and went home with nothing.

*The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV tomorrow
