ITV The Chase viewers were unimpressed with a player after he seemingly backtracked on bold claims of being a gambler.
In tonight's episode of the popular quiz show, which was a repeat, cocktail bar owner Benji appeared alongside three strangers in a bid to win a cash jackpot.
Benji was the final player to go head to head against Mark 'the Beast' Labbett and had told his fellow players to "leave the gambling to me".
The contestant earned £4,000 in his cash builder round and viewers believed he'd gamble and accept a large offer - only to see him backtrack and instead play for what he'd acquired.
Irate viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
Ryan said: "Stick with the £4000?? But Benji, you're the gambler?"
Victoria said: "Thinks he knows everything and knows nowt".
One viewer commented: "That’s right leave the gambling to him".
Another said: "Ol Benji bigged himself up a tad to much there then lol".
Laura said: "‘Leave the gambling to me...’ yeah. Ok Benji... s**t talker."
One viewer, unimpressed with the team as a whole, added: "Disaster - Mark you have one job - catch them ffs".
The team were caught by the Beast with 34 seconds remaining.
