ITV The Chase fans 'don't trust' hairdresser contestant due to old saying

The Chase fans said they "didn't trust" a hairdresser contestant who appeared on the show tonight.

Tonight's show was a repeat from Series 10, but saw hairdresser Nigel go up against The Beast, Mark Labbett, who was tonight's Chaser.

Nigel, 56, was the third contestant to face the Chaser, and spoke to host Bradley Walsh before his cash builder.

Nigel, from County Durham said: "I've been hairdressing for 40 years this year. I'm known as a bit of an extreme hairdresser, I did the first underwater haircut, and I've cut someone's hair from the back of a motorbike."

He told Bradley he wanted to take his grandson to Disneyland if he made some serious cash in tonight's show.

But some fans jokingly said they didn't "trust" him, saying they were always wary of a bald hairdresser.

Sarah said: "Never trust a bald hairdresser."

India Willoughby said: "Old Chinese proverb: Never trust a bald hairdresser."

Gavin Lloyd Branch said: "Can you trust a bald hairdresser though?"

Padraig Pearse said: "A bald hairdresser is like a skinny chef. You just can't trust them."

Nigel got £4,000 in his cash builder and chose to play for that amount.

He managed to get past The Beast and made it back to his team, in time for the final Chase.

*The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV on Monday
