ITV The Chase fans all saying same thing after Wirral woman sent home

Fans of ITV's award-winning gameshow The Chase were all saying the same thing after a woman from Merseyside was sent home empty-handed.

Operations Manager, Fiona, 31, from Wirral told the show she was a quizzer, and often took part in the Wirral Quiz League.

"The Beast", chaser Mark Labbett, mentioned he knew the organiser of the league, Jon Stitcher.

Jon had previously been on the game and out-chased the chaser, something Mark said Mr Stitcher liked to remind him of frequently.

But despite voicing her love of quizzes, Fiona was sent home in the first round.

Reacting to her departure, a lot of people on Twitter were saying the same thing.

One wrote: "She said she was a quizzer?"

A second said: "I bet she is regretting the fact she was in a quiz league. #weakestlink" [sic]

A third added: "Fiona broke the cardinal rule. Never admit you're a quizzer"

One woman was more forgiving, saying: "No shame in that, Fiona’s questions were hard"
