ITV The Chase fan spots 'odd one out' as contestants appear on screen

An eagle-eyed The Chase fan spotted the "odd one out" as the latest contestants appeared during Tuesday's episode.

Producers often select players in a certain order due to their names, if they can make a play on words out of them. For example, one previous episode saw a team made up of a Tom, a Colin, and Margot and a Ria.

Fans of the show at the time spotted their names, when lined up, sounded like "Margarita" and "Tom Collins", the names of two popular cocktails.

And as Bradley Walsh welcomed Nick, Sue, Rob and Kathryn to the ITV studio, one viewer spotted a connection between all but one of the team.

Taking to Twitter, Samantha said: "Odd one out?? You can't Kathryn someone!" Her tweet was immediately liked by many other The Chase fans.

As the programme got underway, Nick and Sue made it back to the table with £11,000 between them, after managing to evade the Sinnerman, aka Paul Sinha.

It was less positive for Rob, who took a high offer of £45,000 but was caught when he answered a question about barcodes incorrectly.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITVX
