ITV The Chase contestant under fire over introduction to Bradley Walsh

Viewers of the hit ITV show The Chase have been left divided by the way a contestant introduced herself on the episode aired on September 2.

Lisa-Jane appeared on the daytime show and introduced herself as a "vegan" to Bradley Walsh when he asked her what she liked to do to relax.

Bradley Walsh was on the show presenting from 5pm and introduced each of the four contestants, reports Birmingham Live.

She stated: "I have been vegan for two and a half years, and my kind of challenge is to make dishes I had before, but make vegan versions of them.

"I would love to take my parents on holiday - Janet and Paul. I would like to take them to Dubai. They have never been but I love it out there."

One joked: "See eating no meat is not good for the brain #TheChase"

"She’s a good player… but she’s also a vegan too. I’m conflicted. I’ll try and think while I tuck in to this," a second fan of the ITV show commented.

A third joked: ""Hello Brad, I'm 59, enjoy musical theatre & I'm a lifelong Carnivore". #TheChase"

"Why is it that vegans vegetarians etc announce they are that, but meat eaters don’t ? #TheChase" asked another viewer tonight.

"Is Lisa Jane going for the ‘how soon can you tell everyone you’re a vegan even though no one cares’ world record?… #TheChase" asked another fan of the show, which is now available to catch up with via the ITV Hub.

"Is Lisa-Jane secretly that vegan teachers daughter #TheChase?" asked another.

"She ain’t a vegan people, she has only mentioned it once," said another.

"Why haven't all the other contestants announced they are carnivores #thechase?" another asked.

Shaun Wallace caught the team in the Final Chase - meaning they lost out on their jackpot.
