ITV The Chase contestant's weird bus discoveries leave Bradley Walsh in hysterics

A contestant on ITV quiz show The Chase has revealed some of the strangest things she'd found abandoned on buses, leaving host Bradley Walsh creased.

Jackie, who had retired from her job at Transport For London, was ready to take on the Chaser in a bid to win some cash.

But prior to her starting her cash builder, she revealed that she had made some unusual discoveries on public transport.

"One of the strangest things we used to have was people leaving babies and children on buses... it was a regular occurrence," she told Bradley.

She continued: "I think we had a nine-week-old left, her grandmother was looking after her for the first time ever, and she left her on the bus.

"It's an amazingly regular occurrence."

Bradley then delved further, asking: "What's the weirdest thing, other than a child, human being or animal, that someone has left on the bus? Please tell me it's an artificial leg or something."

"No, that's a regular thing," she replied.

"My husband is a bus mechanic, and he told me that they found a 14ft plank of wood on the top deck of the bus.

"They had to actually saw it up to get it off, so how it got up there god only knows!"

Jackie then went on to ace her round alongside her fellow contestants and the four got 16 questions against the Chaser.

The Chase continues weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
