ITV The Chase contestant loses thousands to absolute disgust of team

The Chase fans were left raging tonight after a contestant went against her team and lost them £10,000.

Charlotte, 30, went up against The Beast as The Chaser , just after banker Ben had won a colossal £50,000 for the team.

The two players before them were knocked out by The Beast - meaning if Charlotte got through they would have shared £25,000 each.

Charlotte scored £4,000 in her cash builder and Ben urged her to take that offer.

But instead she went for the low offer of minus £10,000 - despite saying she would never take a low offer.

Ben looked gutted by her decision and thinly smiled as she went up against The Beast.

Charlotte raced through her questions and got through with ease - leaving Ben, 22,  grimacing.

And fans were disgusted as well and took to Twitter in their droves to slam her actions.

Mason said: "You should never take the low offer on #TheChase, if you do you are a pleb. But nothing has annoyed me more than watching this episode. Dude's worked hard and then here she comes and takes -10k. I wonder how the guy who won the money is feeling but for sure for me its ruined my week."

Shona said: "I hope Charlotte loses! I HATE people who take a minus from those who’ve worked hard to get back to the booth! The low offer should always be in credit."

Mace Windu said: "How can you possibly show your face in public after taking a minus ten thousand pound low offer!"

The pair then went up against The Beast together as a team and set a target of 11 for the Beast to beat - which he easily beat and they went home with nothing.

*The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV tomorrow
