ITV studios evacuated over police incident as This Morning and Loose Women pulled

The ITV Studios have reportedly been evacuated following the discovery of a 'suspicious item' in the area.

Police officers were called to a reported security alert at Wood Lane, White City in London.

The incident saw police evacuate the area as a precaution and temporarily close White City and Wood Lane tube stations.

Photos have since emerged on Twitter reportedly showing Loose Women and This Morning staff outside the Television Centre.

Following the incident, ITV pulled This Morning and Loose Women from their TV schedule.

Instead, pre-recorded episodes aired.

A statement from This Morning’s Twitter said: "We apologise for the break in live programming today. We are currently running pre-recorded content and hope to be back with you soon."

A tweet from the Loose Women account said: "We apologise for the break in live programming today. We are currently running pre-recorded content and hope to be back with you soon."

Metropolitan Police added: "At 11.14am on Thursday, 10 March, police were called to reports of a security alert at Wood Lane, White City.

"It was reported a suspicious item had been discovered.

"The area was evacuated as a precaution and White City and Wood Lane tube stations were temporarily closed.

"The incident was stood down shortly before 12.49pm.

"An investigation is ongoing."
